Hi, I’m Margo, and I’ve lived many lives.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in public office, working in counseling and education, and speaking to audiences across the country. I was the first woman elected Prothonotary in New Castle County, Delaware, and later served two terms as a Delaware State Senator—experiences that taught me how to navigate complex conversations, lead with clarity, and connect with people from all walks of life.

At the core of everything I’ve done is a deep interest in people—how we think, how we communicate, and how we grow through life’s transitions.

I’ve spent much of my career helping individuals and organizations recognize their strengths, move through internal barriers, and communicate more effectively. My approach is shaped by my background in education, communication, and social work, and grounded in real-life experience.

Some of my most meaningful work, though, has come from my personal journey.

I co-authored I’ll Miss You Too with my daughter, a book that has resonated with thousands of families navigating the transition of sending a child off to college. Later, during my time as a caregiver for my husband with Alzheimer’s disease, I began writing more personally—sharing reflections to support others facing similar challenges and learning, day by day, what it means to keep going through difficult seasons.

Those experiences didn’t just shape my writing—they reshaped me.

They deepened my understanding of identity, loss, resilience, and what it looks like to move forward when life doesn’t unfold the way you expected.

Today, my work centers on those very themes.

Whether I’m speaking, writing, or engaging in conversation, my goal is to create space for people to reflect, reconnect with who they are, and move forward with clarity and purpose.

If you’d like to bring Margo to your audience or start a conversation, she welcomes the opportunity to connect.
